In Octogber Arvada Jefferson Kiwanis members helped prepare several thousand packaged meals for "Kids Against Hunger." The meals will be shipped to Haiti and Africa.
Santa Claus handed out Christmas presents to children and grandchildren of AJK members at the annual Christmas party December 22.
Many club members helped make the Santa House a success. The Santa House, sponsored by the Arvada Wheatridge Service Ambassadors For Youth (AWRSAY), helped more than 2000 needy children and 800 families from 13 area elementary schools have a more joyous Christmas.
